Coupling NanoLC to MALDI mass spectrometry results in an extremely powerful tool for the analysis of complex peptide and/or protein samples in proteomics. The NanoLC MALDI spotting system brings together Eksigent's highly reproducible NanoLC system with our highly precise MALDI spotter to provide a new dimension in LC separations on MALDI targets.

The EKSpot™ Spotter holds 16 AB SCIEX 4700 targets or eight microtiter plate size targets. Each of the targets can hold up to 1,000 spots and you can generate up to 8,000 spots on an overnight run.

High resolution spotting

The Ekspot is designed to deposit fractions eluting from a NanoLC column onto a MALDI plate, with the MALDI matrix automatically being added. Fractions as fast as four seconds can be spotted in order to optimize resolution. In combination with the NanoLC's separating power due to low delay volumes, minimal peak dispersion, and pumping technology, you will have the most advanced LC-MALDI system available.

Why try to guess where the peptide of interest resides? The Eksigent NanoLC provides retention time reproducibility less then 0.5% RSD. Be assured that you know its location run-to-run, week-to-week and month-to-month.

Single point control

One software program controls both the NanoLC and the Ekspot, providing simple setup and easy tracking of samples. Enter the gradient, name the sample, program the flow and press start. It's that simple with our integrated software tool.

Flexible design

The NanoLC-MALDI spotting system is the most flexible tool for your mass spec needs. The system can also be used for traditional online LC/MS analysis or convert the Ekspot to a fraction collector for offline 2D.
